Founder

Dr Sam Parsno is the founder and course director for the London College of Oral Implantology (LCOI) and is proud to be providing dentists with education in implant dentistry.

Education

He graduated from one of Europe’s most prominent dental Universities known as the home of the Nobel Prize Assembly, the prestigious Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden in 1994. The Karolinska Institute was ranked as number one university by QS world university ranking in 2019

Experience

Sam has over 20 years experience in implant dentistry and completed many years of postgraduate training with special interest in advanced cosmetic and implant dentistry in Sweden (At Brånemark Clinic in Gothenburg), Austria, Germany, United Kingdom, Oxford University (studying systematic reviews), The Royal College of Surgeons (London) and Spain

Mentor

In addition to working in his private practice, he visits other practices in London and other cities in the UK for implant treatment and implant mentoring.

Dr Jose M. Navarro   DDS MS

Dr. José Manuel Navarro received a Certificate in Periodontology and Implant dentistry after completing a 3-year program at New York University College of Dentistry (Chairman Dennis Tarnow).

He was also awarded a Master of Science degree in Biomaterials from NYUCD for his research on high strength ceramics (Chairman Van Thompson).
Dr. Navarro has received awards for his research from different societies, including the Academy of Osseo integration (AO) best presentation award in 2007 and the European Academy of Esthetical Dentistry (EAED) Research Award in 2011.

He has co- authored several peer- reviewed publications and book chapters and is Co-Editor of the book “High Strength Ceramics”.
Dr. Navarro is on the editorial board of the European Journal of Esthetical Dentistry (EJED) and is Editor-in-Chief of Quintessence International. He is past chairman of the European Association for Osseo integration (EAO) Junior Committee. He is visiting faculty at different universities, whilst maintaining a private practice focused on restorative and implant dentistry in Spain and London.

Wail Girgis BDS (Lond) 1990, MSc Cons (Lond), Specialist Prosthodontist

Wail is a Prosthodontist and partner at Devonshire House, a specialist practice in Cambridge, and an Implantology lecturer and examiner. As a specialist Prosthodontist at Devonshire House, Wail and the team place over 800 implants a year. Wail also provides general dental care for a broad patient base and is especially skilled in the replacement of missing teeth, the restoration of natural teeth and in complicated and simple restorations of the whole mouth.
Wail has recently introduced a comprehensive education programme offering dental professionals a range of short and long courses in many aspects of dentistry. 

Having trained at King’s College Hospital Dental School, Wail went on to complete an MSc degree in Conservative Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Hospital and joined Devonshire House in 1998. He is a lecturer and examiner in implant dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute and a lecturer and member of the International Team for Implantology (ITI). He has a wealth of experience in practice, education and offers a mentoring service to dentists at any stage of their career.

Dr Pegah Heidarzadeh Pasha

Pegah qualified with distinction from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden (2001).

She gained her Certificate in Restorative Dental Practice from the Eastman Dental Institute in 2009 & her Periodontal Specialty (MClinDent in Periodontology) at Guy’s Hospital in 2013. She completed her MSc in Health Psychology and Health beliefs. Pegah has worked as a Periodontist both at the Eastman & Guy’s Hospitals. After joining the Periodontal team at Guy’s Hospital she was soon offered a Consultancy position. She was Principal Dentist of her own Dental Practice (Shape Dental Clinic) 2007-2018. As a Periodontal Consultant, she is involved with the training and assessment of both Undergraduate & Postgraduate students and oversees Perio Consultant Clinics.

Louise Zacharopoulos

Louise Zacharopoulos trained in Durban, South Africa and holds a Bachelors degree in Dental Technology and has worked for many years as a metal and implant Crown and Bridge technician. She lectured for the Durban University of Technology for a year teaching Tooth Morphology prior to moving to the United Kingdom.

Louise has been a lab CAD CAM support specialist with other leading dental manufacturers and has worked in a laboratory as a CADCAM technician.

In 2015 Louise moved across to Dental Sales, starting her employment with Dentsply Sirona where she was an Atlantis representative for South Central UK.

Now Louise is the National Nobel Biocare Specialist responsible for sales and support of DTX Nobel virtual planning software for the UK.
